A few weeks ago we took a rainy hike with some friends at Turkey Run State Park. I had never been here before and had no idea Indiana had such a hidden treasure of nature. The leaves had just started changing, and despite the rain, every bend we turned offered new colors and natural beauty. With all the amazing trails, rock formations and crevices, Turkey Run has been described as the Middle Earth of Indiana. Please sit back and enjoy these pictures that in no way do it justice.
We definitely plan on going back and exploring more. Just let us know when you’re coming for a visit and want to take a good hike!
Last weekend I didn’t do a recap because I failed to take any pictures, with the exception of the wedding I got to intern with a wedding coordinator (a few pictures here). So here are a few pictures from this weekend.
Saturday morning we headed to Cincinnati once again so Loren could shoot a wedding. I dropped him off at a park that overlooks the city and it was breathtaking. No picture could do it justice!
After dropping Loren off, I headed to meet Mom Crisp for a lunch and IKEA date. It was fun to chat over lunch and then do a little shopping. After shopping, I went to Carrie’s house for the rest of the evening to make cookies and hang out until Loren was done with his wedding.
Sunday we got a glorious extra hour of sleep. After church, we had lunch with Loren’s grandma and then fed the ducks and geese for a while that camp out by the pond close to her home. For the rest of the afternoon, we relaxed and visited with Loren’s siblings and parents until the nephews and nieces came and it was time for dinner and eventually the drive home.
Another sweet family-filled weekend.
How was yours?
ONE // I got to shadow the most spectacular wedding as a coordinator this past weekend. The ceremony and reception were both at the Indiana State Museum and frankly, I was surprised about how gorgeous it turned out.
TWO // This hoodie that I need because it describes my life of always being cold.
THREE // After our recent trip to IKEA, our bedroom is finally coming together and I’m LOVING it. Full apartment tour and headboard tutorial [hopefully] coming soon!
FOUR // This leather watch from Daniel Wellington that is most certainly on my Christmas wish list.
FIVE // Kroger’s Free Fridays. Every week, Kroger has a random free item for card holders. It’s never the same thing – sometimes they give away a box of cereal, or cat food, or candy. Can’t pass up free!
Here we are in another new month. This month is full of wedding stuff, family and traditions!
I’m kind of proud of this October list because I totally crossed off all my goals for the first time…ever? Maybe because I kept it pretty easy. But goals should be achievable, right?
