EAT

Emberly still nurses every 2 – 2.5 hours during the day for about 10 minutes and drinks 2-3 ounces when given a bottle. My favorite time to nurse her is in the mornings when she likes to take little breaks to smile at me. At the beginning of the month, she was still waking up twice a night to nurse, but we’ve got that down to one!

SLEEP
Emberly is back in her own room in the crib, and while that first week back in her room was pretty rough, we started intentional sleep training around week 10, and now she only wakes up once in the early morning to eat. She always manages to at least get one hand out of her swaddle and likes to suck her fingers (yay for self-soothing!).

PLAY

Tummy time is still not her favorite, but we’re working on it. She kicks her legs and waves her arms excitedly when we put her down to play with her play gym and tries to reach the toys. She has discovered her hands and liked to try and stuff both of them in her mouth at the same time.

Emberly,
You LOVE to stretch and it cracks your dad and me up every single time. You like to chat, especially in the mornings and after eating. Your little personality is starting to show, and we can’t wait to continue to see it develop. You’re a relatively easy-going baby and are so much fun.

FIRSTS
You took your first long roadtrip across several state lines down to South Caroline and met so many new relatives! You fussed a little on the way down, but were a rockstar all the way back home.
You went on your first hike and slept the whole time.
You went to Hobby Lobby for the first time and loved it. Aka slept the whole time.
You had your first playdate when some friends came over for a morning.
You went on your first 5K and naturally slept the entire time.
You spent your first Sunday morning in the nursery and were amazing.
